The congregation of Redeemer prayed for the graduating seniors and blessed them as they reached their hands forth at the end of the service.

During their recent retreat, the women at Redeemer Anglican church explored how different habits of being present with God grow their sense of identity as women who belong to God and who are loved by God.

We give thanks for the ordination of Ben Lansing to the vocational diaconate, on Saturday, November 11, at Redeemer Anglican Church in Richmond, VA.

The staff from Redeemer in Richmond, VA and Restoration in Arlington, VA met together at Restoration for a day of intentional, inter-squad staff development. It was wonderful.

A better, fuller understanding of the Christian life would mean recognizing that every man, woman, and child in the Church has a missionary calling and is to live with a missional “lens” through which they see every aspect of their lives. 

On a fall afternoon I remember chatting with a senior student who was interested in hearing more about my ministry. As I spoke with him, I began to illustrate a vision for college ministry through the local church, which I explained as “building a bridge”.

The entire congregation was invited to an opportunity to gather and learn from one another around the themes of the 7 Practices as reflected through some of their very own creatives.

Friends from Redeemer and other local congregations met at Redeemer’s Parish House and had a wonderful evening of fellowship, sharing, and encouragement of each others’ talents.

The Anglican Church’s Thirty-nine Articles of Religion aren’t comprehensive. They don’t answer every theological or ecclesiastical question a follower of Jesus might have. But there’s an elegance in the Articles’ brevity and simplicity that both roots us in the historic church and is timely today.
