Christ the King enjoyed two big events recently.

You are invited to a presentation and discussion at Christ the King in Alexandria, VA by author, Chris Stirewalt ‘s new book: “Broken News: Why the Media Rage Machine Divides America and How to Fight Back”

On June 12, 2022, Bishop John led a service to consecrate the new building for Christ the King in Alexandria, VA.

In February, Christ the King Church sent Hayden Sealander and David Glade along with his two daughters to Kenya to visit a local pastor that they support.

More than 30 members of Christ the King showed up to the donation center to organize their donations and make the center useable for new Afghan refugee families.

A little walk down memory lane is encouraging- a reminder of where we have been, and a trajectory of where we are headed.

None of us expected to still be experiencing a quarantine during another Lent, yet so many churches have offered meaningful ways to gather and reflect together. Well done!

The Provincial Council of the Anglican Church in North America this week elected Albert Thompson of Christ the King, Alexandria, to the ACNA Executive Committee.

Albert Thompson spoke on the “Witness of the Church in a Time of National Crisis.” Albert is a historian, writing his doctoral dissertation on the influence of the New Deal and WWII on Jim Crow and race in America. His presentation on race and America is a clear, sobering, thoughtful and ultimately, hopeful consideration of this important subject.

Some suggestions for the hunt: spoon, Bible, toilet paper, pillow, grass, remote control, family photo, deodorant, ketchup, socks, etc. The idea is to get them moving and in different parts of their house.
