Planting a Church During a Pandemic
The picture with my light ring and computer sitting on a tub of liturgical supplies is such a good microcosm of what it feels like to plant a church during a pandemic: a tabernacling mindset with God's presence as the only constant. Our living room in this picture reminds me that it does not take many resources to make disciples.

A Message from the Bishop
And then Scripture tells us that Asa’s pride brought about his own death. In his final years, his feet became severely diseased. He turned to physicians (which the Bible doesn’t condemn—after all, Luke the Evangelist was a physician). But Asa would not pray, he would not seek help from God.

Abundant Life: You Were Made for More, A Curriculum for Youth
Abundant Life uses biblically-based teaching to engage teenagers, partner with parents, and equip youth leaders to navigate relational and culturally-relevant topics. I believe that educating teenagers about who they are in Christ, the purpose of relationships, the value of life—their own and others–and how the Gospel interacts with all of this is essential in the Kingdom of God. Why? If we don’t give them something to live for, someone else will.
Alpha Offered as Outreach to Community
There are around 150,000 people (!) who live in the Lake Gaston area — that's almost nine times the population of Emporia/Greensville County. The next closest Anglican (ACNA) congregation is in the Raleigh/Durham area. It behooves us to reach out to make new disciples around Lake Gaston and to minister to the many Anglicans who have retired to the lake from Raleigh/Durham, Hampton Roads, and Northern Virginia.
Path Through The Wilderness
Being a human can be messy. Each of us is physical, emotional, relational, sexual, and spiritual. We carry past stories and future hopes.
It was all SO GOOD.
Sitting this morning at my desk I was ‘remembering’ this past Sunday (September 13) in the park when Incarnation gathered and celebrated two years from ‘going public’ on Sept 9, 2018. Two years of unity.
