The themes of spiritual living, power encounter ministry, church planting, beautiful worship, and vibrant praise are all attributes of St Patrick's legacy.

Church of the Ascension in Kearneysville, WV is excited to have space at the local fair again this year! The 69th Annual Jefferson County Fair is underway.

Ascension Day is the day celebrating the bodily ascension of Jesus Christ to heaven 40 days after His resurrection from the dead on Easter Sunday according to Mark 16:19, Luke 24:51, and Acts 1:9.

On April 10, Palm Sunday, Bishop John participated in the ground breaking service for Church of the Ascension’s new campus.

We thank God for the ordination to the transitional diaconate of Michael Koppola at Church of the Ascension, Kearneysville, WV on March 6, 2022.

On December 19, 2021, the Rt. Rev. John A. M. Guernsey instituted Darryl Fitzwater as Rector of Church of the Ascension, Kearneysville, WV.

While Whey Jennings sang, "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way?" we had families under the tents for prayer and free Bibles. A few people turned in prayer cards, and others took the time to share and receive prayer on the spot. Almost anyone who stops at the prayer tent at an event like this is working through serious challenges or trauma.

When we started planning our topics for the Appalachian Anglican podcast, we tried to come at it with the mindset that our listeners could potentially be new to a historic and traditional church environment. We try to discuss each topic as a conversation while interjecting thoughts of how we perceive the church exists today similarly as she did in her early history.

The Lord is at work in our midst, as His people. Jesus is still standing among the lampstands, holding the stars in His right hand, speaking that two-edged sword. If you think about this western DOMA outpost, pray for us. Thank the Lord for the “now,” and ask Him to keep moving us into His “not yet.” Ask Him to open our eyes to see as He does.
