For the second year in a row BE Transformed, an inner city ministry in Baltimore, had the opportunity to bring children to Church of the Resurrection's "ResCamp.” ResCamp is a week-long extended VBS. The children in the BE Transformed community rarely have the chance to go far beyond where they live, and this has been a great opportunity for them to take a daily "field trip" to a different environment that is loads of fun! This year, many of our older kids were able to be Junior Crew Leaders, which gave them more responsibility and a chance to be an example to the younger ones. For me, one of the highlights of the week was the van rides to and from ResCamp. During each trip, I heard them share their favorite parts of the day while singing their favorite songs from the week.

ResCamp ends with a big celebration. I love to watch the kids run from the waterslide to the obstacle course, come to grab a snack and check in with me on our picnic blanket, and then back out to freely play, knowing they are safe.

We say a big THANK YOU to Claire Trainor, director of ResCamp, and Church of the Resurrection for opening your arms to our precious ones and loving them so well! Memories are being made and lessons are being learned that will last a lifetime.
