Relief: Syria/Turkey Earthquake

On the morning of February 6, 2023 a massive 7.8 earthquake struck southeast Turkey, killing thousands people and leaving devastation across a wide swath of the country and into northern Syria. Nine hours later, a second earthquake followed.

Anglican Relief and Development Fund (ARDF) is collecting funds for this disaster through the Joseph Fund, and is currently working to connect with partners on the ground.

Keep updated on the partnerships and the situation on their website.

Almighty God, by your Word you laid the foundations of the earth, set the bounds of the sea, and still the wind and waves. Surround those in Turkey and Syria with your grace and peace, and preserve those through the aftermath of the earthquakes. By your Spirit, lift up those who have fallen, strengthen those who work to rescue or rebuild, and fill us with the hope of your new creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
