Preparing for Pentecost – An Introduction to the Holy Spirit

May 23 and May 30 from 10:00 am - noon via Zoom

"And see, I am sending upon you what my Father promised; so stay here in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." (Luke 24:49).

In the confusing and distressing days that followed Jesus' crucifixion, the early disciples encountered their Lord and Savior alive again after so much suffering and death. As momentous as the death and resurrection of Jesus was and still is, Jesus told his disciples to wait for what his Father promised, something he hinted at during his last evening together with his disciples (John 16).

The topic of the Holy Spirit - his presence, his gifts, and his power - are sometimes not well understood, and can even evoke suspicion and skepticism. In preparation for Pentecost we are pleased to offer an introductory teaching time on what the scriptures say about the Holy Spirit - who he is, what is he like, what he does, and why you should have more of him in your life. We will go through a couple of teaching blocks with space for questions and discussion, and will end with prayer.

This teaching will be offered twice -- once on Saturday May 23 at 10:00 am and again on Saturday May 30 at 10:00 am.

No registration is required, please join us for some or all of these teaching times via the below zoom links:
