Marching & Praying for Life

On Friday September 17, Bishop John and Meg Guernsey, with representatives from the Anglicans for Life (AFL) chapters of diocesan churches participated in the Virginia March for Life annual rally. Representatives from St. Michael’s, The Falls Church Anglican, and All Saints’ Church especially benefited from testimonies by speakers representing the Silent No More Awareness Campaign. Leaders of other organizations, as well as governmental officials, shared about the vital work of saving lives through decreasing the abortion rate and increasing awareness of the preciousness of every life. Ed Speare, representing the All Saints’ AFL chapter, estimates about 2000 people were in attendance. Ed and other local AFL chapters invite everyone to participate in the 40 Days for Life prayer event that has just begun (September 23-October 31).
