A Message from the Bishop - January 2023A

Dear Friends,

I am delighted to report that today the College of Bishops of the Anglican Church in North America, meeting this week in Melbourne, Florida, voted to consent to the election of the Rev. Chris Warner to be the second Bishop of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic.

After an early morning Eucharist, the bishops met at Prince of Peace Anglican Church to hear Chris share his testimony of coming to Christ and being called to ordained ministry. They asked many questions, then excused Chris to spend time in discussion and prayer, and voted by secret ballot to confirm his election.

To God be the glory!

This means that his consecration is officially a “go,” and you are most warmly invited to attend and join in the glorious celebration on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at The Falls Church Anglican. Archbishop Foley Beach will be the chief consecrator and he’ll be joined by some two dozen other bishops in laying hands on Bishop Elect Chris.
