Church Planting in the Diocese

Church Planting is central to the mission strategy of the Diocese. Since its founding, the diocese has consistently devoted itself to planting a thriving network of Anglican churches throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Did you know that in its constitution and canons, the diocese provided for the formation of a permanent church planting leadership team? Lead by The Rev. Tuck Bartholomew, the vision of this leadership team is to become a church planting network in which all of our churches are consistently working together to start new church plants.

If church planting is new to you or if you are interested in learning more:

Start by seeing the history of the churches planted in the Diocese here.

Then spend some time reading the articles written by our church planters and about planting churches here.

Next, visit the page of current church planters. Many of these planters have a website, social media, and newsletters to share their progress and prayer needs. In particular, here are some upcoming and important dates for some of our planters.
