Spanish Christmas Service & Gift Collection at Christ Church Vienna
In December, Christ Church Vienna in Vienna, VA, offered Christmas services in Spanish. The response has been heartening, with new families attending after learning about the services through outreach to local elementary schools' social workers. The church has consistently fostered meaningful connections with neighbors through a variety programs, including collecting gifts for children identified by school social workers.
The congregation provided 65 gifts for families to share with their children. The church works closely with school counselors and social workers, obtaining details such as gender and age to ensure thoughtful and personalized gifts. On December 10, the congregation came together for a special collection Sunday. Praise God for these blossoming relationships and pray for their continued deepening.
