A Charlie Brown Christmas

In early December, Christ the Savior Anglican Church of Glen Burnie, MD, held an outreach to the nearby recovery community. Nearly 50 guests enjoyed a wonderful evening with a full Christmas dinner, drawings for prizes, Christmas trivia, and a joy-filled presentation of the gospel wrapped in the trimmings of “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” Carols were sung, plates were filled and then emptied, joy filled the air, and Christ filled the hearts of those serving and attending. This is the second year for this outreach. It, coupled with our “Worship in the Park” Sundays, is beginning to produce fruit in terms of Sunday attendance as people feel loved rather than judged and welcomed rather than shunned.
