Who is Missing from Our Church? How to Approach Parish Ministry Like A Missionary

The Rev. Katie Hamlin
Assoc. Rector
Incarnation Anglican Church

To love our neighbors, we must know our neighbors. Come and think through the barriers that keep your neighbors from hearing the good news of Jesus Christ and participating fully in the Body of Christ.

Sent to be Gathered: The Eucharist & Christian Mission

The Rev. Danny Hindman
Rector, All Souls Anglican Church

The Church is both the means and the end of Christian mission. A community gathered (even beautifully so) without hearing and heeding the call to "go" is less than the fullness of the Church. A community "going" for some other reason than the gathering of all of God's children into Christ's one Body is missing the point of Christian mission.

Join us as we explore the relationship (and the unity) between Christian mission and the Church's "sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving."

Mission in a World of Trauma

The Rev. Mike Kunzinger
Rector at
Church of the Good Shepherd

What does it look like to be a trauma informed church?

It is a part of our mission to mediate Christ's healing presence to those around us; however, oftentimes we can feel at a loss when it comes to entering into pain. Join us in a discussion about what it looks like to care for others well as we take into account their trauma, hurts, and hardships.

Missions in the Anglican Communion: Developments, Trends, and Pathways for Engagement & Partnership for Your Church

The Rev. Dr. Chris Royer
Executive Director of Anglican Frontier Missions.

Drawing upon his ten years of experience as the Director of Anglican Frontier Missions (AFM), Fr. Chris will share numerous opportunities within the Anglican Communion for individual and/or parish missional engagement. Fr. Chris will discuss the emerging deaneries of Southeast Asia (Thailand, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Indonesia), whence he recently returned. Fr. Chris will also speak about opportunities in North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia, where numerous AFM missionaries serve. Finally, he'll talk about the mission initiative of the Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches (GSFA) and their June meeting in Cairo. Ample time will be given for Q&A.

Lunch and fellowship

Space will be available for anyone who would like to enjoy lunch with the opportunity to visit

Almighty God, you gave these your servants special gifts of grace to understand and teach the truth revealed in Christ Jesus: Grant that by this teaching we may know you, the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
