FAQ’s for Synod 2024
WHO MAY ATTEND?
Everyone is welcome to attend Synod. The Synod Seminar and evening Eucharist & Ordinations on Friday, as well as the Saturday business and breakout sessions, are open to all. There is no cost to attend.
DO I NEED TO REGISTER?
Registration is required for lay delegates and canonically resident DOMA clergy. Non-delegates should register if you plan to attend the Saturday business and breakout sessions. Registration is also required to attend the Synod Seminar on Friday.
No registration is required to attend the Friday Evening Eucharist & Ordinations.
Where is Synod?
The Synod Seminar, Friday evening Eucharist & Ordinations and Saturday business and breakout sessions of Synod will be held at All Saints’ Church, 14851 Gideon Drive, Woodbridge, VA.
I'M ATTENDING AS CLERGY, WILL I NEED TO VEST?
For the Friday evening Eucharist & Ordinations service, please vest. (Red stoles)
For Saturday morning worship, there is no vesting.
WHEN AND WHERE DO I PICK UP MY DELEGATE PACKET?
Delegates will pick up their packets and ballots in the Atrium on Saturday morning before Synod convenes at 8:45 a.m. Please arrive beginning at 8 a.m. to allow time to sign-in and pick up ballots and packets.

WHAT FOOD IS PROVIDED?
Saturday Mid-Morning Break
Coffee, tea, water, and some light nibbles will be available during the mid-morning break.
Saturday Lunch
For those who indicate on their registration they wish to be included in the lunch count, we will provide a Chick-fil-A box lunch consisting of their standard chicken sandwich (bread and breading on chicken), potato chips, and cookies. A gluten-free meal will be provided to those who chose that option when they registered. There is no charge for the meal but any free will offerings are appreciated.
