Truro Called to Plant a Church in Burke, VA

On February 24, 2023, the Rev. Jamie Brown shared the exciting news that parishioners of Truro Anglican Church in Fairfax, VA has been called to pray for Mike and Jenny Seawright who have heard God’s calling to plant a church in Burke, VA for a very long time. Truro affirms this call in two ways: This is a call for them. And this is a call for Truro. You are invited to pray as well.

In his letter to the congregation, Jamie shares:

Mike and Jenny have been discerning this call, along with the leadership of this church and our diocese, for years now. Over the last four months, we have begun to pray about the prospect of taking this next step of faith in 2023.

So, with a heart full of excitement and faith (and, along with the Seawrights a good mixture of “are we really doing this?!”), on behalf of the leadership of this church, I invite you all to join us in praying about this.

The DOMA Messenger will share updates, and you are encouraged to contact Jamie or Mike via email to participate in upcoming prayer meetings.

The Rev. Jamie Brown is the Rector and the Rev. Mike Seawright is Associate Rector at Truro Anglican Church in Fairfax, VA.
