Praying for Provincial Assembly

Please spend time praying for the College of Bishops Meeting, provincial Council, and Provincial Assembly. Here are some specific items to cover in prayer:

1. The election of the next Archbishop of the ACNA. This bishop will be just the third Archbishop of the Province. It is for a five year term, which may be renewed once for a second term.

2. The consideration of the Rev. Darryl Fitzwater by the College of Bishops to be the next Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of All Saints. Fr. Darryl is the rector of Church of the Ascension in West Virginia and was elected as the next bishop of MDAS a couple months ago. All newly elected bishops must be vetted by the College of Bishops and approved before being consecrated and installed. Fr. Darryl is oe the agenda for the College of Bishops next week.

3. Provincial Council meets next week, starting Monday evening and running all day Tuesday. Pray for wisdom for them. They have to consent to the election of the new Archbishop.

4. Provincial Assembly, which meets every 5 years, has a number of things on their agenda, including consenting to the election of the new archbishop. They also have a number of amendments to the Provincial Canons to consider and approve.

5. Pray for the election of the new members of the Ecclesiastical Trial Court. The members represent all branches of the church. The new court will be considering the presentments against the bishop of the Diocese of the Upper Midwest. Please pray that wise people are elected and that they will be able to conduct their work with grace and integrity.

6. Pray for safe travel for everyone coming and going to the meetings, including the delegates representing the Diocese.
