DOMA Global Missions Gathering & Partnerships

by Katie Hamlin

In DOMA, many of our churches have created meaningful international partnerships with ministries and individuals. With a shared commitment to collaboration and prayer, DOMA churches are invited to participate in the following initiatives:

DOMA Global Missions Gathering: On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Greenbrier Baptist Church in Arlington, VA, DOMA global mission and outreach leaders are invited to hear from Bishop Chris Warner and to share an update on global partnerships. The goal is to have a representative from each DOMA church attend this event. Those unable to attend in person are invited to join the gathering via Zoom. Contact Katie for more details.

2023 DOMA Mission Partners: Katie is updating information on DOMA's mission partnerships, drawn from our church parochial reports. Please contact Katie to view the list and add any missing details. This information will aid coordination and collaboration between DOMA churches.

Anglican Introduction to Missions course: The ACNA is developing an Anglican Introduction to Missions (AIM) course. The course is expected to be available in Spring 2024 to all the ACNA Global Mission Initiative advocates. The AIM course will likely include six 45-minute sessions on “the rich theological, historical, cultural, and strategic realities of global missions within the Anglican Communion.” Stay tuned for more details!

The Rev. Katie Hamlin is the Associate Rector at Incarnation Anglican Church in Arlington, VA, and serves as DOMA's advocate on the ACNA Global Mission Initiative team (GMI). The provincial GMI team is made up of one GMI advocate appointed by the bishop in each ACNA diocese. Learn more about the work of the GMI here.
