Corpus Christi Worships in New Space

by Morgan Reed

We are grateful to God for many wonderful months at Green Spring Gardens (and especially for Sam, who coordinates all our rentals and whom we have loved seeing week in and week out). It has been the perfect place for Corpus Christi to grow and develop. As we continue to grow and develop, we'll need a little larger pot to grow in. With a deep desire to support the work of God's kingdom, Rev. Woodson and Fr. Morgan are excited to announce that we have hammered out the final details for sharing space that we have been prayerfully working on for the last several months. This will allow Corpus Christi Anglican Church to worship in the chapel at the Springfield United Methodist Church (7047 Old Keene Mill Rd., Springfield, VA 22150).

Beginning October 10, we will worship in the Chapel at the Springfield UMC at 9am-10:15am (please note the service time change from 10am). Not only will we worship in the chapel, but we will have a nursery space for ages 0-2 and a classroom to use for the Atrium for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for ages 3-9 (which we hope to start by early 2022). Both Rev. Woodson and Fr. Morgan are excited to see God's good will for these two congregations as we become a new "roommate" to SUMC and endeavor to serve and worship alongside one another for God's glory and for the good of the greater community of Springfield, Franconia, and Kingstowne.

The Rev. Morgan Reed has been called to plant Corpus Christi Anglican Church, which serves the Franconia, Springfield, and Kingstowne areas of Northern Virginia. Their vision is to become a common people in common prayer for uncommon transformation.
