Developing a New Anglican Church in North America Hymnal

The Liturgy and Music Task Forces have formally requested, over the past year, submissions of Communion Settings for possible inclusion in the Service Music section of the developing new Anglican Church in North America Hymnal. We have been in receipt of many compositions and the best of these settings are available for viewing and use on the ACNA Music Resources website (acnamusic.org) under the Service Music tab. They include full accompaniments, guitar chords, bulletin copies, and recordings.

Select members of the two task forces will gather in Savannah, GA this April to review the entire proposed Service Music section as a requested first step toward the development of a hymnal. The Service Music section will be presented to the College of Bishops at their June 2022 meeting for review and adoption. At that time, the two Task Forces will move on to reviewing the Hymns section of the proposed hymnal, taking the best from The Hymnal 1940The Hymnal 1982, and sorting through a myriad of quality singable hymns composed since their publication. We ask for your prayers as we continue the diligent work on this project of both high detail and import to the Province.

In His Service, your
