Accidental Outdoor Sunday Worship

Christ the Saviour Anglican, Mt. Vernon VA, meets at Woodley Hills Elementary School on Old Mt. Vernon Highway. Sometimes there is a lapse in communications with the custodial staff who opens the building for us, which happened on Sunday, October 30, when we planned an All Saints Day service. We were locked out of the building, and after some discussion, we pivoted to an outdoor service: our supply priest, Fr. Stephen Arpee, celebrated the service in the parking lot of the school, with our usual congregation of about 24, and hymns accompanied by our fiddler, Jim Gray. Praise God it was a lovely day!

Christ the Saviour is currently in search for a permanent priest.
