Global Partnerships around the Diocese

by Katie Hamlin

On February 4, we will have the opportunity to join with our fellow Anglicans to celebrate World Mission Sunday. This is an opportunity to renew our commitment to being Jesus’ witnesses to the ends of the world, give thanks for cross-cultural workers and our brothers and sisters in the faith around the world, and ask God to raise up those who would be willing to go to the more than 3 billion people around the world who have not yet heard the good news of Jesus Christ.

The New Wineskins Missionary Network website has many resources to help your church celebrate World Mission Sunday. I also recommend that you use this day (or month) as an opportunity to highlight your congregation’s mission partnerships. You can find information about mission opportunities and see a full list of all our diocese’s mission partners by country here. Please send updates on your mission partnerships to Heidi Reichert. To explore opportunities to become more involved in global missions, contact the Rev. Katie Hamlin.

The Rev. Katie Hamlin is the DOMA Global Mission Advocate (ACNA Global Mission Initiative) and Associate Rector at Incarnation Anglican in Arlington, VA.
