Lunch Session: Partnering in Church Planting: A Conversation with our Canon
Since taking on the role of Canon for Church Planting, I have had lots of questions about partnering in this important space of mission. Join me for lunch to hear about the many different pathways a church or mission can take in partnering in church planting—bring your questions and let’s talk! Led by the Rev. Tuck Bartholomew, DOMA’s Canon for Church Planting.
Lunch Session: Handling Issues of Sexual Misconduct
We know the tremendous importance of rightly addressing issues of sexual misconduct and the need for appropriate policies for the prevention of and response to harassment, abuse or other misconduct against children or adults. In this session, our Chancellor, Scott Ward, will provide an overview of these matters and an opportunity for questions and answers. In addition to serving as Chancellor of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic, Scott is also Chancellor of The Falls Church Anglican and of the Anglican Church in North America. He is an attorney and partner of Gammon & Grange, a firm which specializes in non-profit and church law. He has extensive experience in addressing issues of misconduct as they affect churches.
Lunch Session: Camp Booyah!
Camp Booyah is an Anglican summer missions adventure camp for rising 6th graders through graduated high school seniors. It combines all the elements needed to provide a transformative experience for the youth in our Diocese: Anglican, summer, missions, and adventure! Camp Booyah offers both a winter experience, Booyah Brrrr! (January 14-17, 2022 at Watermarks Camp, Scottsville, VA), in addition to the wildly popular summer Camp Booyah, July 17-22, 2022, all for the purpose of coming alongside Anglican churches to help disciple the next generation of leaders and resilient followers of Christ. At this lunch session, led by Booyah adult and youth participants, you will discover why clergy and lay leaders, who want to see our youth fully engaged and fully integrated into the life of the Anglican tradition, are joining in Camp Booyah! Led by The Rev. Robbie Pruitt (Church of the Holy Spirit, Leesburg, VA), The Rev. Jedd Trenum (All Saints’ Church, Woodbridge, VA), Riley Pachecano (All Saints’ Church, Woodbridge, VA), Heidi Reichert (Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic & All Saints’ Church, Woodbridge, VA)
