Personalizing an existing DST image
DST ends Nov. 7. You’ll want to remind your parishioners (and clergy) to get that well-deserved extra hour of sleep. When doing that, make sure you are honoring copyright guidelines when using any images found on the internet. '
Canva has some fun graphics you can use. Take a photo of your clocks at church or the staffs’ watches and include those in an upcoming newsletter to make it more personal.
Or use one of these I created in Canva for you. I’ve create a two-minute tutorial on how to add your logo and a date, if you’d like to personalize them in Canva or another graphic-editing app. Enjoy!

Cannot find a great, free stock image? Take your own! Easy examples...
Have you ever felt frustrated that there just isn’t that “perfect” or even “GOOD” photo for your website, newsletter, or announcement/publication? Do the stock photos you are finding look too “fake” and like an advertisement?
Consider taking a photo! Most handheld devices take really nice photos for digital use (not always for print media). Here are some examples that show you how easy and effective that can be.
Pointers: Whenever possible, take photos outside (cloudy days offer a nice, natural filter) and turn off your flash.

One way to create a links page for your Instagram Bio is to use one of the many free resources out there, such as LinkTree.

If you use the blog feature through your website host/manager, you can easily create a links page, too!
Using the blog (tag/category) feature on your website builder, you can create a links page for your Instagram account.
Link in Bio for Instagram: WHY? (Video 1 of 3)
Instagram will not make hyperlinks active (like Facebook does) so if you want someone to “read more” about a post…what do you do?

I currently use Facebook and Instagram somewhat equally. This most likely goes against all social media protocol, but it works for the Diocese for the time-being. I like to post each individual newsletter article from The Mid-Atlantic Messenger with a link to “read more.” This is how I do that for instagram.
