Immanuel Anglican is Staying Connected

As we worship in a school (our new building is coming), we didn’t have to decide if we would cancel services. Prince William County Schools are out at least until April 14. We did several things initially: emailed a special update, and because we have some at church who don’t always have access to email, we set up a phone bank and contacted each parishioner. That was such a positive experience for caller and those called, that we did it this week, as well, and will continue. We also hosted a Zoom tele-conference for vestry and a second such meeting for vestry and other leaders. It’s great technology. In addition, we’ve kept parishioners updated with prayerful messages. 

Our children’s minister posted an awesome list of interactive things for our children and that will be a weekly program as well. We had our first video service available for Sunday worship (taped for Friday and posted with bulletin on our web page). Also, we’ve formed an IT team to explore further internet options. To help those anxious about grocery shopping, we’ve set up a team that will help in that area. In summary, we’ve been blessed to have some very talented and committed people working very hard to make sure we “stay connected.”

We’ve also been blessed to have Fr. Tim Howe be such a part of the Immanuel family at this time.
