For families, when you start having children, it’s a time when you get plugged back into church because you want them to be raised with Christian roots. For me what’s exciting is that I get to see parents that are coming in with little kids that are struggling, they’re trying to make right decisions and I can say, “Hey man, I know exactly how you feel. I’ve been there, lived it, let me tell you what I did.”
Begun in a home, the church met for four years at “Rainbow Hill,” the former home of General Douglas MacArthur. In November 2009, the parish purchased a Methodist church on seven acres of land just north of Baltimore in Lutherville MD.
Christ the King began as a shared dream between me, my wife and the leadership of The Falls Church (TFC).
I laugh and cry with women who are mothers, or wish they were mothers, or simply have mothers, over the joys, pains, and challenges of life. Being a woman, no one seems to mind if tears well up in my eyes as I hear their stories.
