Church of the Holy Spirit’s Historic Faith Ministries was present at the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Manassas Reenactment on July 24th, 2011 with a public worship service led by the Rev. Clancy Nixon, Senior Pastor at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Leesburg, Va. Clancy preached an 1862 style message to an audience of more than 230 people gathered in 93 degree heat at 7:30 Sunday morning under a large tent pitched near an encampment area by the battlefield. During his message Clancy said to the congregation several times, “It is hot now, but it might be hotter if you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.” The audience reacted with nods of approval and laughter.
