On a hot summer day in 2009, Nar Taing, Local Outreach Coordinator at the Falls Church (TFC), pumped gas into her car at a Culmore area gas station, watching as a day laborer approached the man at the pump next to hers. To Nar’s surprise, the two men bowed their heads and started to pray together. After a few moments, the spontaneous prayer session ended and the day laborer went back to his post on the corner of the intersection. Moved, Nar asked the man at the pump how the day laborer had known to come to him for prayer? The man at the pump explained that at one time he had been on the streets too and was known to be a Christian. “Life on the street is very hard. That man is in a desperate time and just wanted someone to pray with him; He knew I would pray if he asked me.”

I received a major healing about a family member, transforming my response to that person. I embarked on a major campaign of forgiveness, touring through vast episodes of my history as the faithful Hound of Heaven would suddenly stop and point. By this time, I was completely sold. No holdbacks. Whatever had been done to me, it did not matter, I wanted to forgive them, and get more of that grime out of my soul. God was truly faithful to continue to point me out yet another period in my life where I had debts unpaid, uncovered by the blood of Jesus in my experience, and stinking to Heaven.

Over 4,300 children are alive today as a result of previous 40 Days for Life campaigns. When their mothers saw someone praying outside the abortion facility and holding a sign with a positive pro-life message, they changed their minds about getting an abortion and allowed their babies to live. They also spared themselves a lifetime of regret.

My wife, Eleni, and I attended The Falls Church Healing Ministry’s ‘Wednesday Evening Healing Prayer Class’ that ended in April and are so much better for it! We encourage anyone with a passion for prayer, a desire to know more about Jesus’ commission of healing and deliverance and how one can learn to be a yielding instrument of the Holy Spirit with your hands literally serving as God’s gloves, to take this opportunity and surrender one Wednesday evening a week to this part of God’s plan for you.
