Throughout history God has provided holy sites where people come to encounter God. The Taize Community is one of those places. A small group of parishioners from Truro Church will be travelling to France in August to learn about the community and their gifts of worship and reconciliation as we worship and experience Christ together. Interested yet? If the following resonates with you, it might be just the trip for you!
Serve the City Chesapeake (STC), VA makes it possible to help those in need in our own community without the need for a passport or more than a few dollars. What the volunteers of STC do spend is the time and talent with which the Lord has blessed them. Begun in 2007, from the vision of Tony Torres, a Christian, and Chesapeake Police Officer who wished to reduce crime by building neighborhood pride, STC continues to build relationships, offer hope, and build trust among members of the same community, who often do not interact.

Mission Haiti 2011 Team, Family and Friends: What an awesome mission trip that exceeded expectations! Thank you for going. You did an outstanding job representing yourself, your family, your church, Jesus Christ, and the United States of America. Now that you are back home and have settled into your routines I wanted to let you know of my great appreciation for your sacrifice to go to Haiti with me. You did an outstanding job serving the children and adults at the Lacroix New Testament Mission. We accomplished more than thought possible in such a short period of time. You reflected the image and power of Christ Jesus in your service. Thank you for a job well done.
