(The following essay was written by Oliver Le, age 12, as a reflection on a time when his father was out of work. His father is Fr. Anthony Viet Le.) This topic might seem weird, so I know that you’re asking the question in your head, “What’s good about not having a job?” Well, I’m going to show you. When people hear that you don’t have a job, they always give you a lot of sympathy and encouragement. Almost everybody thinks everything about it is bad, but not everything about it is bad. It may sound crazy to you, but not having a job teaches you a lot about your relationship with God. It also helps you learn to spend your money wisely, and tells you who your real friends are in your time of need.
Through the grace of God, fourteen CANA clergy from Virginia, Texas, Ohio and Maryland spent April 5-7 being refreshed and healed at Christian Healing Ministries in Jacksonville, Florida. Founded by Judith and Francis MacNutt, CHM reaches out internationally to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit to bring physical healing, inner healing and deliverance to those who come for prayer. Most of us have not previously experienced this kind of sustained, intensive individual prayer.
