Today I’m not going to challenge you to do Big Things. Instead I’m going to challenge you to do small things. Yes, small things! I’m taking my cue from chapter four of the Gospel of Mark, where Jesus relates three kingdom parables that are all about seeds: The parable of the sower of seed and the soils, the parable of the farmer and the growing seed in the field, and the parable of the Mustard Seed.
The ACNA Provincial Assembly is June 6-9, 2012 in Ridgecrest, North Carolina. During the week of the Provincial Assembly, the Archbishop's Cabinet and Executive Committee will meet on June 4, followed by the College of Bishops on June 5. The Provincial Assembly then kicks off the following day on Wednesday, June 6.
Earlier this spring, The Church of the Holy Spirit (CHS) sponsored its third annual mission team to Haiti. Eight missionaries representing three denominational (Anglican, Baptist, and Methodist) churches went to the Lacroix New Testament Mission in Lacroix, Haiti. The Lacroix New Testament Mission feeds and educates over 3,500 children each day in seven locations. In addition to the schools and churches the ministry also has two medical and one mobile clinic staffed by doctors, a dentist, and it also has birthing center.
